Needle-
If you could get him for Brees and Droughns, I would definitely do it. Backup QB and backup RB for the best WR in the league? Hell yea, that's way lopsided for you. I seriously doubt he'll do that though. Nobody needs 3 QBs, not sure why you have 3.

yeah exactly, wtf?

Best Avaible player, Brees was still around in the 11th round I believe. I figure if he got better I could get better value out of him. Obviously if I knew what I was doing I wouldn't have to ask questions. My thinking was the guy is obviously desperate and Brees is better than Delhomme and Vick, but I'd be willing to give up Brady.

actually vick is avging more points that brees. and even if you want to argue brees is better its def not by anything close to enough of a margin to get Holt. To get holt at this point you should expect to have to give up 2 starters, not 2 backups.

I have a loaded team, but am smitten with bye's this week.

on my bench this week are

Reubon Droughns
Kevin Jones
Deshaun Foster
Dominick Rhodes
Bernard Berrian (bye)
Torry Holt (bye)

my starting TE is Todd Head (#1 in the league) and my Defense is the Bears (#1 in the league). they are BOTH on byes this week, and both are too good to release. therefore those 2 will also be on my bench this week.

so, I need both a TE and a D for this week only, but I think all my bench guys are too good to simply release. I am loaded at RB (starters are Ronnie Brown and Rudi Johnson) so it's maybe ok to release one of my bench RB's, but not both, right? what do I do?

KBZ,

now is a good time to package up some players in a trade, thus opening up spots on your roster.

also rhodes and droughs are pretty much useless on that roster.

i agree with xorbie,

id try to deal an RB or two.

if you cant put a deal together that will open up two spots then I would just not start a TE, any TE you get off waivers is only going to have an EV of like 3 points anyways.

My lineup is:

Pennington
Leftwich
LJ
Julius Jones
Maroney
Travis Henry
Chester Taylor
Steve Smith
Torry Holt
Branch
Reggie Williams
Winslow
Gould
Vinatieri
SD

Is it worth it to move Smith or Holt and pick up a second big time RB like Portis, Tiki Barber, Rudi Johnson? Those are the only guys right now I think I would move him for

Also apologize in advance for carrying 2 kickers. But I am a PSU grad and had to put up with Robbie Gould, plus he is exactly 1 year older than me so I have a weird fantasy attachment to him

Spellmen-
You only have 4WRs, if you trade Holt or Smith, that leaves you without any depth at WR. I think you're already plenty strong at RB. Assuming 1QB/2RB/3WR, having guys like Julius and Taylor sit of the bench every week are wastes of roster spots. It's not worth weakening your WR lineup for that IMO.

Now one of mine. 10 team league. 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1K/1D My team:
QB- Hasselbeck, Rivers
RB- LT, Dunn, Edge, M Barber, Mo Morris
WR- Chambers, Glenn, Ward, Williamson
TE- Heap, Winslow
K- Akers
D- Pitt

Since I don't really need 2 TEs, I thought it might be worth it to trade Heap (he has a bye this week) for a good WR. I'm just not sure what calibur WR I could get for Heap. Here are the 3 teams that are hurting most at TE. Possible targets in red.

Team 1:
QB- Bledsoe, Warner
RB- Tiki, McGahee, Parker, Lewis
WR- Driver, Berrian, Rod Smith, Reggie Williams, Cotchery
TE- Witten
K- Vanderjagt, Longwell
D- Dallas

Team 2:
QB- Eli, Vick
RB- Jackson, Maroney, Dillon, Benson
WR- TO, Housh, Coles, Antonio Bryant
TE- Cooley, Colston (who I hope will consider playing as a WR)
K- Kaeding
D- TB, NE

Team 3:
QB- Carr, McNair
RB- Rudi, Alexander, Chester Taylor, Bush
WR- Andre Johnson, Edwards, Fitzgerald, Stallworth, Branch, Baskett
TE- Heath Miller
K- Feely
D- Bal

Heap is the #1 TE in the league thus far so I should be able to get a good WR. Considering who I deserve for Heap, my opponent's need, and what you think will be accepted, who do you think is my best bet?

try to calculate how many points better Heap is than your opponents TE's. do the same for his WR's vs yours. try to package a win/win deal based on the points you will both gain.

I don't know off the top of my head which WR/TE deal is the best deal for you, but that is how I would figure it out.
