NL5: AA, flop paired. standard line?
Hi all. I played this hand today. Any thoughts?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.04 BB (7 handed) Party Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) BB ($5.79) UTG ($2.93) MP1 ($6.02) MP2 ($3.71) CO ($4.78) Waffles ($5) SB ($2.56) Preflop: Waffles is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.04, CO raises to $0.16, Waffles raises to $0.4, 2 folds, MP2 folds, CO calls $0.24. Final Pot: $5.62 I'm new to the table, however I saw villian play a draw with a decent line. I'm assuming he's not a standard NL5 donk. After he called my 3bet, but didn't 4bet. I put him on a middle to low pocket pair or two royals. ie 22-QQ or AT+. I dont think narrowing it down any futher would be accurate. Is the turn check good or am I losing value to another overpair? Is the river call good, following my turn check? I'd welcome any comments. Give an NL5 thread some love. |

Re: NL5: AA, flop paired. standard line?
Looks good to me.
Edit: Yes, your river call is good IMO. By checking the turn, you try to keep the pot small. The downside of checking the turn is that villain will bet the river more often (also as bluffs now and then)and we def have to call those bets quite liberally. |
