Bad spot....not playing for stacks though.

Perhaps (what do people think about this):

Check call a reasonable bet; Block bet river and fold if raised [You might not be deep enough for this though if he makes like a 1/3 pot or bigger bet]. There's probably a pretty good chance he'll check behind on the turn though.

I think most pp's check behind on the river, and thats pretty much all were beating if we get called on the turn. I check and hope for a cheap showdown, and probably dump it to major aggresion. I doubt many players bet this river big without a queen.

I'd bet 6 on the turn, then 10-12 on the river if villain is v. passive.

so if we bet $7 and he shoves giving ~3:1 we fold because we're only (rarely) beating jacks, right?

I'm not sure why we're not checking then...
