Looks like they divided the prize pool among the remaining players. Sucks because I had almost 3x average, but we were far from the money, so it makes sense. Anyone else?

edit: for the typo

After some math, I found that they actually did some sort of chip chop, it seems.

lol. This is messed up. No hands had been dealt yet, I just took the initial rebuy. Lost 13$ for the tournament..

Tournament #43984395 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

When a tournament is cancelled before players are in the money, we refund
each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool based
on the following formula:

- 50% of the award pool distributed evenly between remaining players
- 50% of the award pool distributed proportionally according to the chip
count

At the time of cancellation there were 72 player remaining, and your chip
count was 3,000. Total chips in play were 169,500.

Prize pool to be divided equally: $11,300.00/2 = $5,650.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $11,300.00/2 = $5,650.00

Your share in money equally divided: $5,650.00/72 = $78.47
Your share based on chip count: $5,650.00 x (3,000/169,500) = $100.00
Your entry fee refunded: $9.00
Total money refunded to your account: $187.47

Had the same issue with the $5r PLO8 tourney - I've emailed them, hope they give me a full refund.

I'm assuming they have to wait for the running SnG's to be done so they can reboot the server...

As you know, earlier today, PokerStars experienced some technical
difficulties which lead to tournaments being cancelled and rolled forward
under our tournament cancellation policy. This formula was applied to your
$100+9 rebuy tournament #43984395.

We are aware that this formula does not work that well for rebuy
tournaments in early stages, and as such, are manually adjusting each of
the awards from this event to ensure that no one loses money due to this. I
have increased your award to the point that you have been fully refunded
for your buyin and rebuy, totalling $209. The credit is now available in
your account.
