General AK question
I have AK suited in the SB and one guy in middle position puts in a 4bb raise, I reraise, he reraises, I call.
Flop comes 10 high or some other inconspicuous low flop. Do I check or bet out? If I check and the villain puts in a PSB, or even a bet of about half the pot, then do I just give up on the hand? I hate AK |

Re: General AK question
If you're going to go that far with AK, you should shove over his 4bet preflop, for this exact reason. After the 4bet your stack is probably only like 1/3rd the pot.
edit: assuming 100bb stacks |

Re: General AK question
Push or fold preflop. The rest is whatever. Bluffing would be a bad idea.

stick it in preflop [/ QUOTE ] Stick it in preflop if his range is still wide. Fold to the 4bet if he is tight PF. Its not AK you hate...its being OOP. Everyone hates being OOP and its particularly bad getting to the flop OOP when on the verge of commitment. |
