Default NL200, 44s flops a set

ok CO is 27/11/2 , UTG+1is 17/7/3.25 and MP1 18/0/2.6 all with about 170 hands, UTG+1 is a girl for all you sexists out there like my self(jk)

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
8 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $283.85
UTG+1: $229
MP1: $115.60
Hero: $157.75
CO: $215.35
Button: $122.90
SB: $202.45
BB: $169

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is MP2 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls, CO raises to $10, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero calls.

Ok need to hit my set here pretty much everytime, putting the ep players on low PPs or maybe suited connectors for MP1 maybe

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($43, 4 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

CO should have taken a shot at this one of the eps would call with a draw hopefully and I put in a nice reraise to take a decent pot or stack co if I am lucky.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($43, 4 players)
UTG+1 bets $18, MP1 folds, Hero calls, CO folds.

great, who thinks I am still ahead here. raise to find out? how much?

River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($79, 2 players)
UTG+1 bets $22, Hero calls.

ok pretty sure I am beat here about 70/80% of the time. but wth need to see

Results:
Final pot: $123

result coming up pretty soon

UTG+1 is pretending to be a girl for all you sexists out there like my self(jk)

I know a lot of guys who also pretend to do this

as for your play... meh

This flop is waaay to drawy to slow play, Especially 4-handed, you need to lead out here with a pot sized bet.

On the turn I am not sure but I think calling is fine.

About your river comment, if you were ahead on the turn you are still ahead on the river about 95% of the time. And with those odds you absolutely call.

I think I would have bet that flop. Maybe 15-20. Hope CO has over pair and raises. Then you really find out if one of the EP's has a bigger set.

Hate that board. Bet that flop 100% of the time. There's enough in pot.

I think betting the board is fine but the odds of CO taking a shot at this is more than 50% even if he doesnt we are usually aheah here most of the time.

so why not go for a homerun instead of a midium size pot?

no... that board is way to drawy, he's only putting it ALL in when he hits any one of many draws he could potentially have. And if he checks which is very possible given how scary the board is, the other players in the hand could also out draw you. Maybe when you are heads up with a good read on him this is fine, but when you are 4 handed this is way too passive. You want drawing hands to leave the pot as quickly as you can.

hmmm let see if CO has a draw to put me all in if he hits it like AKh/straight flush draw/or even a openended straight draw he is gona bet/call that flop regardless wouldnt you?

if we bet he can call and suckout sometimes but if we check and he bets and we bet big and play for stackes he will fold most of the times as players at this level do and call and suckout fewer times and if he has air we are still better checking to him

which = more profit and less varience

my point is I think you usually make more here by check raising than betting the pot...
