Apparently, TN and Aero don't play nicely.

Switch to the Vista Basic theme by going to Personalize > Window Color and Appearance and you'll find Vista Basic in the Classic Appearance Settings.

Should TN work ok on Empire, getting a box around one table when I open it up but it just stays there from then on.
