Flop: (t1125) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

MP3 checks, Hero ??? (pot 2325)

This guy has only been at the table a couple orbits, no real read.

Given we're fairly deep here, thoughts on calling vs raising on the flop?

Now that we're here on the turn, who bets and who checks behind and why?

Further action after a few responses...

Well, you've got 6815, there's 2325 in the pot. If you're ahead you're sweating 4-6 outs, and if you're behind you're gonna get check-raised on the turn.

Your bet's gonna take this pot down here most of the time. This early, I'm probably checking it behind cause I don't want to play a big pot here on the turn and taking down the 2325 now isn't as important as keeping this pot smaller. Plus, there are enough hands in his range that'll give you action with a J on the river or a club river.

I check and hope he bluffs the river, thinking you missed. Giving a free card here isn't too risky since you're mainly worried about non-club A,K,Q.
