2/5 AA OTB
So there I am in a great 2/5 live game at my local, villain is kinda bad, a little loose pre, pays off too much, maybe a bit too passive, basically a middle aged fish. He might be a small winner in the game tho, (it is very bad) I have a tight, perhaps very tight image, he probly thinks I know what I'm doing but I'm still a limidonk.
Live $2/5 9 handed effective stacks $894 I cover him Hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] OTB UTG raises to $15, 2 folds, call, 3 folds, Hero raises to $40, SB folds, BB raises to $140, 2 folds, Hero calls. [My range for villain here is {AA-QQ, AK} Thats it. I imagine he folds everything but {AA-KK} if I 5-bet, but will put in a big cbet if I just call...] Flop $312 (2players) K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets $250, Hero instacalls [bad? I really wanted to see a turn, I wasn't feeling very confident right here] Turn $812 (2plyrs) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB goes allin for $405, Hero??? I made my decison in about 5 seconds... Let see what you guys think. JT |

Re: 2/5 AA OTB
you should have raised more preflop the first time around. pot-sized raise is like 60+ and you only made it 40.
i think i probably would fold the flop. doesn't make sense for ak to bet that much, and 250 is a really big bet, especially live. |
