LOL! An offensive lineman LAYS OUT to catch a deflected pass for LSU, MAKES THE CATCH... and gets flagged for being an ineligible receiver.

here's a question. Cal 6 Wash 14. Cal scores a TD. how late in the game does it have to be for you to go for 2?

At least fourth quarter, probably halfway through it.

I don't know how many times I've seen a team miss it and then give up a TD to go down nine, or have other scoring combinations hurt them. Game I was at today, UNC scored first play of the fourth quarter to go down two, went for two in missed. Tech then got a TD, then UNC a FG, then UNC scored again to tie. This was with just a few minutes left. The XP put them up one, but if they had kicked earlier then now they could have gone for two to go up three. GT's FG with 16 seconds left would have sent the game to OT.

Usually you only go for two if you only expect one more score at most.

if this was the Cal team from two years ago I'd probably just go for it at the first chance I got, but with this team I'd wait until it was absolutely necessary

On the 2pt thing, coaches are getting so stupid* they should just start going for it on every TD.

*coaches are dumb when it comes to clock management and 2 pt attempts, LDO.

I'd say 6 minutes left you go for it. 7 you don't. 6:30 is a tough call.

7 min left is a no-brainer IMO. That's a helluva post-game interview you're gonna have if you lose by 1 after kicking the pt.
