Showboat AC 4/26
Will be at the Showboat Thursday 4/26 in the early afternoon. Just wondering how the room is around 1pm-7pm. Is it all locals or a mix? I play on the weekends and always see a good mix. If anyone is going to be there give me a "sup bro" I will be wearing a Texas Longhorns hat.

Re: Showboat AC 4/26
The showboat cash games may be a little quiet on a weekday afternoon. No harm in checking it out though, and just walking to the TAJ if it's beat.

Re: Showboat AC 4/26
It's a nice looking room in any case, just make sure you protect your hand and keep an eye on things. The dealers & mangagement left a lot to be desired last time I was there about 6 months ago, though (to be fair) I hear it's improved somewhat since.

Re: Showboat AC 4/26
I've got a story about Showboat tournaments, from about three months ago. It's the $65 tournament, the blinds are 100/200. One guy raises to 800, the guy behind re-raises to 1400. The dealer insists that the minimum re-raise is to 1600 total, and won't budge despite the players explaining to him the rules while rolling their eyes. The floor was called, and he confirmed that the minimum is indeed 1400 total, and it only took him three attempts at arithmetic to get there.
