Default solve

Ok well I have the formula all figured out and I then turned into a [censored] on how I might go about solving this, help from 2+2 genius'

A solid rod of radius R carries a current of i = 1.00 A, into the page, with a uniform current density. There is also a thin wire at a distance 2R away from the surface of the rod. Point P is on the line between the two, at a distance R from the wire. What is the magnitude and direction of the current in the thin wire so that the magnetic field at point P equals the magnetic field at the center of the rod? Use (+) for current into the page, (-) for out of the page. (Hint: For two vectors quantities to be equal, both their magnitudes and directions have to be the same.)

From this I got:

Bp = Bs so...

-(μI1)/(2*PI*2r) + (μI2)/(2*PI*r) = (μI2)/(2*PI*3r)

I1 = current
Mu (&#956 = (4*PI)E-7
solve for I2
