Re: who plays in the BCS title game?
[ QUOTE ]
Who did they prove they were fast against last year? I love Michigan but if your going to use them as an argument your kidding yourself. They beat nobody outside the big 10 last year. Texas was decent at best. Please prove to me some how that tOSU was some how that great last year. Wow they ran the table in the ultra competitive Big 10.... Maybe the Florida game was a fluke but I really lack confidence in anything the big 10 puts up right now in Football. [/ QUOTE ] They proved they are fast and have been fast against the NFL combine and all other schools not named THE U. Unless of course the NFL loves slow OSU athletes. |

Re: who plays in the BCS title game?
I can easily see LSU, Cal, BC, OSU, and USF all going undefeated
Imagine that f'ing insanity, 5 BCS conference champions all undefeated Maybe Kansas can do it for the Big12 and make it a full fledged 6 way cluster fk. |

[ QUOTE ] What do the computers say about OSU/Cal/LSU? [/ QUOTE ] 1. LSU 2. tO$U 3. Cal source [/ QUOTE ] what a travesty it would be if it looked like this at the end of the year (with all 3 undefeated obviously) |

Re: who plays in the BCS title game?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Ohio State isn't slow. They lost, badly, to FL last year, but it wasn't because they were slower(Ginn/Gonzalez/Smith/Pittman is a ridiculously fast WR/WR/QB/RB combo). Everything capone0 has said in this thread is retarded(and not just because he doesn't know the contraction of "they are"), it was just one game. Superb Lou Holtz gimmick. [/ QUOTE ] Who did they prove they were fast against last year? I love Michigan but if your going to use them as an argument your kidding yourself. They beat nobody outside the big 10 last year. Maybe the Florida game was a fluke but I really lack confidence in anything the big 10 puts up right now in Football. [/ QUOTE ] didn't the big11ten beat the SEC in 2 out of 3 bowl games? Florida over tO$U Wisconsin over Arkansas Penn St over Tennessee they did now, I agree that the SEC is the stronger conference but, please, let's not overstate these differences It's not like the Big11Ten is the WAC or MAC or something here is the data off sagarin right now 1 PAC-10 (A) = 80.50 80.13 ( 1) 10 2 SOUTHEASTERN (A) = 79.20 79.42 ( 2) 12 3 BIG EAST (A) = 78.58 77.83 ( 3) 8 4 BIG 12 (A) = 77.93 77.22 ( 4) 12 5 BIG TEN (A) = 76.31 76.52 ( 5) 11 6 ATLANTIC COAST (A) = 76.20 75.83 ( 6) 12 7 MOUNTAIN WEST (A) = 70.43 70.25 ( 7) 9 8 I-A INDEPENDENTS (A) = 65.95 65.90 ( 8) 4 9 WESTERN ATHLETIC (A) = 64.87 65.58 ( 9) 9 the point differential is not that big. Plus, it underestimates the Big11Ten since the predictor is still bayesian and the middle of the pack in the conference is much stronger than most pundits predicted (except for me ). Also of note is that the sagarin has big11teams *lower* on the whole than the general consensous of legitimate computer polls. If one looks at the Massey composite v Sagarin, you have Ohio St 2-2 Illinois 16-31 Wisconsin 22-32 Purdue 23-22 Indiana 28-49 Penn St 39-28 Michigan 41-40 Michigan St 48-50 N'Western 73-77 Iowa 83-66 Minny 91-79 While not the Pac10 or SEC, the big11ten as well as the other 3 major conferences are not that far off. |

Cal would leap frog Ohio St in the computers IMO if they both win out the rest of the season Computers don't care about who was ahead the week before...they weigh every game and the whole body of work. Pretty sure Cal passes tOSU if they both win the next two games due to SOS. However, tOSU will close the gap over the last 4 games. It will come down to humans if both go undefeated. |

Re: who plays in the BCS title game?
Hopefully USF and BC will meet up in the title game while 1-loss LSU, Oklahoma, OSU, USC and Cal watch it on TV. The BCS is so F-d up.
