~~~Official: Pirate Master Arghhh Matey~~~
I just watched the first episode of “Pirate Master” and whether you loved it or hated its basically like survivor but on a big ship with people getting voted off..
www.cbs.com/primetime *spoiler* / Discussion Ok now on to the first episode, WOW I still can’t believe that off the bat my favorite character John the Scientist/Male Stripper who seemed like a pimp and I guy I could relate to got voted off. I swear I thought that stealing the two compasses was such a genius move that guaranteed victory and that there was no way the crew would vote him off. What a –EV move by the crew people, I’m sure there going to get screwed later. John also found the chest at the end of the challenge when everyone was like WTF!? where is it… and the Captain got 50% of the $$$ and didn’t even split it up … My favorite character gone first episode. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Anyway Discuss below ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I found the show embarrassingly bad but I may be hooked. I wasn't surprised that John got voted off since it was pretty obvious that he is smarter then the rest of the crew combined.
I liked the dick move with the compasses, but why couldn't the captain just take them back before he was "set adrift"?

I thought a lot of the show sounded scripted. They have some very colorful guys, but none of the women really stood out.

My buddy is one of the boat captians (real, not contestant). I was like "why didn't you tell me Christian Okoye was on the show"? He didn't know. Apparently they didn't make a big deal about it to the crew or something.
Oh yeah, he does a lot of these including some Survivors. He says it's all pretty much scripted. Also they have forward teams run through all the challenges to see how they go before the actual contestants run through them. And when you see the show a lot of the footage is from the forward team.
