Default Hug Ban

I don't even need to comment on this kind of absurdity.

Unfortunetely the yahoo video doesn't seem to be working now. At the one school they interview a girl was given detention for hugging another girl.

FFS don't we have better things to worry about? Millions and millions of human beings world wide are starving or sick or killing each other (amongst other real problems, like a 90+ % incumbent re-election rate in this country) and some people are sitting around having a debate on whether we should ban hugs in school.

It’s not just Texas. At the Percy Julian Middle School in Oak Park, Ill., hugging hasn’t been banned outright, but teachers and administrators have banned what they call “extreme hugging” in hallways.

I've gotta get me some of that.

If my school supervisor spent more time worrying about that stuff as opposed to how to properly run a school I would be pissed.

At Kilmer, administrators said the ban was enacted because while most touching may be welcome, some touching isn’t.

If the only 'issue' left in terms of "how to properly run a school" is whether hugs should be banned or not you've done more than enough thinking about that how to properly run a school.
