Default JJ 2nd level of $22 225 player MTT

The table has been fairly limpy to say the least. These situations just make me very uncomfortable and sometimes I question whether I'm making the correct decisions.

Anyway, I'd like feedback on all streets please!! TYTY

9 handed in BB with JJ in a limpy table is a [censored] bitch.

Personally, I would -

1 - raise more preflop to drive more of them out. 300-400 or so.

2 - As played I'd bet the flop between 1/3 and 1/2 the pot to see where I am

3 - As played I'd probably shut down on the turn, click 'fold to any bet' and go get a coffee.

If I were in LP or on the button with that many limpers I'd raise to 180, in the SB or BB I'd make it a little more since I'm not terribly excited about playing the hand out of position. Probably 240 or so.

Assuming you get the same amount of callers as in the actual hand, you're now in a lot of trouble because almost any size bet commits you to the pot, so if you are going to bet, you might as well put it all-in. If your bigger pre-flop raise worked and you only got one caller, I'd bet half the pot and play the rest of the hand based on how the other player reacted and my read on them.

As for calling the bet on the end, that's a really tough question. For me it depends on A) My read of the villain, does he like to slowplay vs lots of hands? B) My time/money investment, if I'm going to be left shortstacked by folding, am I better off trying to stick with it and get back in the hunt, or am I better off busting out of this tourney here and jumping into another? Kind of a personal matter, since I always play cheap tournaments that fill up quick, I'd lean towards calling and busting or doubling. Since I know we're talking about you and you were probably playing this $22 MTT with a $100 bankroll, I guess you gotta fold and try and find a spot to get back in it. How has the action been up to this point? How have these limpers been reacting to raises after limping?

If the pattern has been that raises such as the standard raise you made have been getting called a lot, perhaps you should think about raising more to something like 300.

Post flop I like the check on the flop and even the bet on the turn. On the river this should probably be a call, two missed flush draw possibilities and maybe even a 910 turning his hand into a bluff or something, a decent amount of the time ull see an A here but I still think calling is +cEV given no reads.

you are in a multiway pot with an ace hitting the flop - I'd never bet out here - most of the times anyone has an ace, and after checking the flop he will not lay it down.

there is not much you can do. your raise size is fine imo, but on an ace high flop you can only shut down with your JJ.
