we boston-area fans have had a lot of experience with nailbiters and comebacks and really tight spots.

This is definitely something only Boston-area fans can relate to, LDO.

yeah i'm not really trying to say this, i guess what i mean is, i just feel like i have watched a ton of close, important games in the last few years, and it does start to wear on you eventually. with all the hype comes a lot of stress.

Well, you know the teams I cheer for, and I would kill for some nailbiting action.

I know you weren't trying to say that, and I'm not trying to pick you out personally. I just feel like it's a very silly thing people say all the time. Every fan in a city with any major sports franchises or universities deals with "stressful" games. It's what goes with being a fan.

Fans of certain teams or from certain cities (usually habitual losers) seem to be worse than others - Cubs, Philadelphia, etc.

OP: I love it.

Follow up question for pats fans: Does anyone else buy into Brady and BB's attitudes that every game is tough? I keep finding myself worried about Washington or Buffalo. I'm rarely really confident going in to any game.

Maybe that's why it's not boring for me to see them kick so much ass all the time.

huge Pats fan.

This season is just extraordinary. Not having had to "stress" over the games has been a huge luxury.

Each week i watch each and every play, feeling like it took 25+ years of being a Pats fan to finally see it culminate into something truly incredible. On the other hand, I know that this dominance is but for a brief spell of my life, which reinforces to me how i need to cherish every single game, and just hope i can remember how it felt.

Follow up question:

How long would it have to go on for before you got bored of it?

The second year of absolute dominance wouldn't be as much fun. Pretty much after they claim the title of "Greatest Team Ever" there isn't as much to play for. Sure, it'd still be fun to see how big their legacy would grow, but the excitement would start to taper off.

Not a pats fan, but I think that Brady and BB are risking a cheap shot at some point in the coming weeks from a linebacker that takes the extra -- and arguably gratuitous -- scoring in the final minutes of the game personally...
