OK. So not such a good idea. But what if he will call down 100% of the time when you do make your flush on the turn? If he will bet if checked to on the turn when we miss? Does anything change if we think he will check behind on the turn or river?

if an oop free card play will work, yes you should 3-bet and check turn. it usually won't.
re: making your flush - he'll usually bet and calldown a raise if you just call. if you 3-bet and make your flush, he's just calling down. to put this into poker terms, it's preserving the implied odds on your draw. |

[/ QUOTE ] so it's a wash if I hit when I c/r the flop, or if I call? wouldn't you think he would be more apt to check somewhere with TP if it appeared the flush came in? |

if you call the flop raise and hit on the turn (unless maybe the Kc falls), he's going to bet and calldown a checkraise. if you hit on the river, you should still be able to get a checkraise, but even if you can't, you can still bet. so you'd still get 2 bets in on the big streets but you don't take the loss on the flop (since you're losing money on the 3-bet).
