[ QUOTE ]
if he is stronger than 2-pair, then he'll reraise or push if you raise and you'll probably have a hard time justifying a fold with top 2-pair.

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm pretty sure if i raise it will be smallish and will fold to a 3bet. so the small chance of being valuebluffed off the best hand does of course hurt the value of a raise, but i think the chance of that is extremely slim.

my thoughts are that he snap calls a small raise with any aces up and most likely calls with any two pair.

I would just call the river bet b/c I don't see a ton of value in a raise here. What is he calling the flop with? Maybe he limped with A6/A4s and will call a raise but he is folding or raising you all in with everything else.

I don;t play this limit but... there isn't much you lose to that checks a turn. Maybe pocket 66's. I think you've underrepped and should raise for value. No?

Any idea if villian is good enough that he would c/r 444 or 66 on the river here? If he is then raise for value since thats probably the line he takes, if not then I think you have to call as worse than aces up will fold and better will always shove. If he's really bad then 53 just got there but I can't see that happening too often.

what i quoted was poor logic because it wasn't logic at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

Now there's logic for you.

The rest of you who didn't respond with X, Y, and, even better, Z, better look out.

So was your "logic" to raise correct?

other people's responses were pretty decent. i was trying to help you and if you took my comment a little more seriously you may have become a better poker player, but whatever.

RESULTS:

I called and he showed A6. At the time i was thinking 200 and fold to shove was the play, but i've value towned myself so much at 6max that i felt like maybe if my instinct was that it was close i should lean towards just calling at full ring. still not sure, definitely close.

LOL. And I thought you were just trying to help me be a better poster. Somehow I missed reading between the lines on how your comment could make me a better poker player.

I agree with the call, though. Don't second guess yourself. Still wondering why you didn't bet the turn.
