I only know this from working in people's houses who have kids, but a lot of kids DVDs and such have segments where they ask the kid watching a question and pause for a bit so the kid can answer.

This is nothing new. The skit in the house with the one-upper was just uncomfortable to watch.

I thought the cartoon was good, but I've seen dora the explorer before, so that may have something to do with it. I thought the house party thing was funny too.
