Well it's still continuing.

We planned an SMP forum game for fun and Ray posted it on his website and one of the people won, which isn't a problem in itself but I guess they were talking about botting at the final table. It's being talked about in this thread.
Thoughts?
Should I delete some of Ray's links? I guess a link or two to explain his position would be reasonable but you guys said he's been doing this a lot.
This is particularly annoying to us recreational players that wanted to just have a fun little tourney.

fwiw... RDuke, I think you handled the situation very well!

I thought we all agreed in a prior thread that anytime Ray promotes WinHold'em the link would be removed? This thread in software is filled with links back to his forum. I don't mind him promoting his bot vs bot tournament, as long as he doesn't promote WinHold'em at the same time.

This is frustrating me to no end, If someone doesnt remove the links to the above thread on Software I'm going to ban the little F*cker so his spam stops once and for all.. why hasn't anyone else done anything about this? I haven't taken any action because once I kicked him out of B&M its not my territory - but this is really getting out of hand.

I removed the few links that Ryan didn't kill. Sorry I wasn't keeping up with this.

He's back as RIIT.

Mike,

I do not wish to start a fight with you.
http://www.twoplustwo.com/terms.html
Please honor these terms and conditions.

I have about 60 posts with this new account and I invite you to cite any post that violates the 2+2 terms.

I like the subject of pokerbots versus humans and I'm grateful to 2+2 for finally allowing the subject to be discussed openly and honestly where members are not afraid of being banned for speaking their mind.

I think the recent policy of less censorship is a good thing for 2+2

People love free speech and they hate censorship.

RIIT

I don't trust myself to think objectively when that [censored] is involved.

Do I ban him or not?

He's just looking for an opportunity to shill and promote bots. I'd just can him.

Thanks.

In the meantime, our PM correspondence:

[ QUOTE ]
Mike,

I simply think it would be nice if 2+2 would allow me to openly talk about the 2007 PBWC since it is the first time that bots will play in real world tournament conditions for real money.

Yes bots play online everyday for real money but there is no way to prove that their owners didn't step in and help. And of course there is no way to prove that a human didn't get software help either.

If you guys don't want me to openly discuss it then I'd simply like to understand why. Is this a money issue where you feel like I'm somehow getting free advertising for a tournament? If so then would you guys be interested in a cut of the event fees in exchange for open promotion here on 2+2?

Here is the schedule of event fees:
http://www.pokerbot.com/pbwc/tournament.html

Did you threaten to ban the UofA guy for posting about their freeroll in Vancouver?

RIIT

[ QUOTE ]
As far as I know, the UofA guy is an academic who is working on an intellectually challenging project. He's not a sordid, under a stone character like you who is trying to make money on false pretences out of a particular greedy and gullible, if relatively miniscule, public audience.

I would prefer that you crawled back under your stone, voluntarily. If you want me to recommend to the Administrators that you be banned "on sight" in future, I will; and very happily.

If you can't stay away from Twoplustwo, (presumably because your own forum is uninteresting), I would prefer that you were "read, only".
