I'd probably felt this, but I wouldn't feel very good about it.

I think the fact that he might get "tricky" with a big pair preflop pushes this to a call. I have seen 14/10's just call preflop with big pairs somewhat frequently. Perhaps they think people will be able to easily put them on big pairs if they get aggressive preflop due to their tightness, I don't really know.

The only hands I can see him have that you beat are 99 and bizarre bluff.

I dont think he would shove 99 with his stats into such a small pot - so there is not much more you beat here - i´m sure he has T9 or a higher set (thats even more likely). Also cant see him shove an overpair like that - thats just not realistic. I faced such spots a lot the last few days - huge shoves in small pots like this (Top2 vs Straight / FH vs >FH / Set vs. Straight) and they always had it - so maybe i´m a little biased towards a fold but still i would fold.

I don't know the dude but even 14/10s show up with connectors here. I would go all in.

no way he has an overpair...

If he can have T9 he can have a lot of two pairs and paur/draw combos. So we call. I'm not sure he calls with suited connectors preflop though..

There are a lot more combos of 55/99/TT/AA/87 than 77/88/T9.

It's close, but you have to call.
