Default 99 against maniac

Villain runs at 35/22/9. He 3 bets light, slowplays big hands, and is extremely randomly aggressive. He will triple barrel with air. I thought the best line against this guy is to just call him down but thats a gross river. What does everyone do here and any advice on a better line is appreciated as well.

Calling down is a bad idea IMO. You let free cards come out, if he has overs or what not, and you don't really know where you are at in the hand. I'd either fold or raise flop.

I feel like ur behind here... I'd fold

Repop the flop and fold to a push.
You can repop him there for the same price you paid to get to the river.

hmm 35/22 is no maniac to me. they are more like 50/40. he is just really aggro postflop. I would either raise flop or turn. as played fold river.

Calling down is fine as long as read OP has is accurate....though calling 3 barrels may not be good...2 could be though....pretty read dependent and such.

River is really nasty though. Probably fold.

Im pretty confident with my read on this guy. Lets put it this way, if I had a queen, I would snap call that river. The only problem is I guess he could be turning TT or JJ into a bluff as well. So you think a line of c/c flop and turn and c/f river is good? I didnt want to re pop the flop because if he shoves over me then what am I doing? I would rather let him keep firing into me. Oh and I guess he isnt a maniac pre flop, but he is a hyper aggro monkey post flop. I dont think he has a check or fold button with his software once he takes a flop.

If you re-pop the flop and he shoves you fold for cheaper than calling down to the end.

If you play passively against aggressive opponents you will have no idea where you are and end up being in bad positions like you are now.

Re-raise flop.
Fold or re-raise turn. I probably re-raise a maniac.
Fold river.

Your line was bad, IMO. His aggresion turned you into a loose-passive player which is never good.
