hey folks,

here is a great comprehensive paper about the history, present state, and future development of the chinese bond market.

it is worth reading as thismarket will definitely be important and it does a great job explaining why the bond market is in the relatively sad state of affairs we see it in today in china when compared to the equity market.

i don't know if any good trade ideas can come from this since it is both slow to happen and hard to determine what the chinese govt will do (i.e. who it will allow to operate exchnages or if it would allow foreign whole or partial control of domestic exchanges).
