Didn't watch the film yet, but I used to be all my little brother's favorite brother, and maybe favorite person but I can't be sure(it was a confusing family), and that went for most of our foster kids, too. They would swarm me wherever I went and whatever chance they got. It was good to hear one recently say again that I was an awesome older brother and everything he could have wanted in an older brother. Really moved me a lot and came at the right time. It's hard to imagine ever quite getting there again with others, especially considering the trying circumstances of those times, but who knows. Oh, also, I'm good with cats and dogs but lizards hate me, and me and birds usually can't figure out WTF is wrong with each other. Also, turtles seem to have no fun with me, but I can't help liking them. I suppose turtle love is often unrequited.

Women friends often adore me, but I think some of the women who have liked me the most have been ones I wasn't interested in.

It amuses me to hear you admit that lizards hate you. I don't know why. Do you harass them? And turtles are not exactly affectionate creatures with anyone. They just stare you down and then they truck really fast for the nearest door.

Nah, I don't harass them, I kind of like them and think lots of them are beautiful. One of my favorite animals is the type of small, pale, flesh-colored gecko you see in the tropics. Amazing golden eyes that look metallic and unearthly, a face that almost looks like it's smiling, extremely gentle tempers and they NEVER bite. Hold them in your hand, no matter how gently, and they die. I always felt really bad. I wanted one of them to live, just once! Still do, I guess. Not the way it works.

Anoles, though, are just foul-tempered and love to bite. Iguanas, well ... anyway back to the topic!

I think this also needs to be asked: how many of you have a favorite person? I think it's rare and sort of creepy to designate a favorite person at various points in your life--it's like all the shallow chicks from my high school who see the need to give shout-outs to all their best friends on facebook. I have several people in my life that are extremely important to me, but I don't think I really favor one over another.
