i couldn't agree more with classic "fish pond"....

i mean, people on here acted like online games (non-micro$$$) were still 6-7 to the flop, when a good pre-flop # was closer to 25%.... now no way B&M goes that root, but the schools of ludicrously bad fish doesn't seem to exist anymore, at least not 3-4 of them at the same table.

are you kidding? 1/2 at the Orleans or Mandalay Bay, Mirage...it's ridiculously loose and action-oriented. And the $2/5 at the Palms is about as good a game there is (on the weekends - the weekdays tend to have a few too many pros)

Last night the 1/2 game at Caesars LV was hardly weak tight. There were certainly some guys who didn't just flail around with their chips, but the game was still decent to good.

By the way, a dealer there got upset when I started relaying what I had read on 2+2 about the guy who got called all in and ran off with his chips/got arrested. Strange.

I'm going to Vegas soon and I haven't played in the Caesar's poker room before so I was planning on checking it out. But after reading that story about them allowing someone to run off with someone else's chips then I'm not too keen on playing there.

Maybe that could have happened somewhere else too but I really don't think that Caesar's handled that situation well.

If you don't like how that was handled, you REALLY shouldn't come play anywhere in Vegas--I don't think you'd get a better result anywhere else. Caesars did everything they possibly could be asked to do. I'd bet in most places the floor would not have chased the guy down and brought him back...once out the door, the guy woulda been free and clear. Caesars did great. Demanding they make good on the cheat's bet is asking too much.

It's also very possible Caesars has or will reimburse the victim of that story at some point. The story ain't over. If they DO reimburse him, they'll probably ask him to not relay that info to anyone since they REALLY don't want word spreading that they'll cover such things...it's too easy to cheat 'em if they do.

And I've mentioned that story at CP and was told by the dealer that they've all been told not to talk about it. Which is understandable. You can talk to your fellow players, just don't expect the dealer to chime in.

By point of reference I saw something similar last week at Casino Arizona, although the amount involved was far smaller. Without going into detail of the incident, floor ruled that a player must put a bet into the pot. It was a pot the player knew he would lose at that point. The player refused, and the floor booted him for the night. This was only twelve dollars, but the concept is the same. The casino sees it as one player welching on a bet with another player. Unless the chips make it to the center of the table, you can't count on being able to win them.
