This post's title should have had a question mark in it. Annoying.

People like Dobbs, Wolf Blitzer, etc, make millions. The unknowns that fill in on the weekends or on Headline News make around $120 - $140K. As was mentioned previously, this is after years of working in small markets, where reporters can be making as low as $30K. The size of the market is the biggest determining factor in broadcaster salaries, followed by experience.

What about attractiveness?

That helps them get on the air in the first place. And blowjobs, lots and lots of blowjobs.

Being attractive and having the right voice should be worth a lot.

No difference between what they do and if you were to read - outloud - this very paragraph.

i just got a camcorder and make films around the house. think im qualified to film porn? it must be the same thing.

you think everyone who can read, is as qualified as wolf blitzer to be an anchor?

1) look up the defintion of the word "hyperbole."

2) Obviously it takes SOME talent to comfortably read a teleprompter in front of a camera for a live audience. That's why I thought $40,000 a year was fair.

3) I'm also not talking about real REPORTERS like Wolf Blitzer, who also produce a lot of their own news stories.

I'm talking about those numbskulls on the local news channels who couldn't cut it as an actor and who now read the news. You know, in some parts of Europe, that's what they call them: "news readers." Give just about anyone a day of training and they could do it reasonably well, too.

So you see, I basically think the movie Anchorman is partially a documentary.

Whatever Melissa Theuriau makes it's not even close to enough.

I don't know what the CNNers make, but I'm sure it's way too much. It's been so long since I've watched it I thought Bernard Shaw was still the main anchor. Nowadays I get most of my information from the web and I watch the local news. For national and international news I tune into http://www.nakednews.com Now those girls deserve some money.
