How are the 5/10 NL games during the Series?

I'd love to hear some opinions from people who have played 5/10 NL games at the Rio, Bellagio, where ever during the World Series. Are these games very beatable and profitable? How many tables run in the Rio during evening/nights? What are stack sizes like in the Rio games? Does the time of day and time of week during the Series change what the lineups are like, and how soft they are?

I'm asking as someone who is considering making the pilgrimmage to Vegas next summer (and primarily grind out cash games), and wants to know if these games are worth the trip.

stacks- between $400 and $40,000

beatable- i dont know how u play. it says you can beat 1-2 online, so i'd play 2-5 if i were you.

eta: the below all refer's to the games at the Rio. Absolutely no reason to play anywhere else, imo.


I played both 2/5 and 5/10 out there last week and found both to be incredibly beatable.


That said, obviously 2/5 is easier for a couple of reasons:

1) It's the smallest game they spread

2) Worse players (ie. it's a capped game*$500* so the better players tend to play the uncapped games where they're more likely to hit for more money)

Now, that said, I was not overly impressed with the 5/10 players that I played with. Granted, none were total idiots, but it seemed as though they were just your avg. run-of-the-mill B&M players. I did find myself thinking, though, at times, that they're not really any better than 2/5 players, just have more money.

As a follow on question what sort of bankroll would people recommend to have in hand if you were playing 2/5 5/10 for 3 weeks.

Just trying to judge how much cash to take with me.

Anyone got opinions on how hard Bellagio 10/20 is right now? or say the Rio 10/25?
