Good posts. Interesting topic. Making it 3 bets and folding to a 4th can make sense and sometimes doesn't.

I was playing in a 30-60 stud game where 2 good players who knew each other were involved in a pot. On 6th st the 3rd st raiser had paired his board. A coldcaller on 3rd with a diamond up now had 3 of them. Paired board bet, raise, 3 bets, 4 bets, 5 bets, fold. Excessive action from boat vs fl and badly played by both of them.

Not intending to hijack, but it was obvious what each other had. Boat should've called the 4th bet and led the river. Fl would've called in that big a pot. Boat missed that 5th bet. Making it 5 bets on 6th fl had to fold.

I couldn't fold the first hand, since you backdoored the flush ad 4-handed 1-2 he could have a lot of hands you beat.

Larry's got you beat in hand 2. Likely with A-5s. I think he wins too, although his greatest skill is game selection.

I suppose I could have looked at the results before posting, and should have figured since you said it was a leak the results weren't pretty. Still, I think I have to call hand 1. I haven't played 1-2 with Larry, but in the smaller games I can't see him raising without a hand that beats A-K in hand 2, because that's exactly what he's going to put you on, so I definitely can't see him doing it in 1-2.

"although his greatest skill is game selection"

I was going to post the exact same thing to worm33. I don't know why he was in this game, it wasn't good. Maybe he left after I did.

Yeah I figured results would not taint responses, it doesn't really matter what they actually had.

I don't know Larry so I can't say, but hand 1 against an unknown there's too much of a chance you're up against a smaller flush or even KT or something like that to fold.
