I like him and don't grow tired of his act. Every time he makes one of his "god I love poker" type comments, it's at an appropriate moment where I'm actually feeling what he says.

OK maybe he does the Dr. and weee things a little too much, but you gotta give him credit for not bragging about his reads or plays when it turns out he was right like negreanu does.

I like Antonio much better than Laak. When he first arrived on the scene, I thought he was more style than substance, but over the last year (primarily on HSP), I've come to respect his game. I also think his comments usually fit the situation pretty well. I think he adds the right amount of spice to the game without overdoing it. It's a bit much when he's at the same table with his buddy Laak, though.

Esfandiari is quality... shame too often he comes along with his ball and chain Laak.

THeir banter was amusing for a while, Esfandiari didnt used to do the "in awe" speeches that much before, Laak must have worn off on him. Antonio is much more fun on his own with his wit.

Jeez. You guys are so critical. So the guy appreciates being able to play in one of the biggest games around. If I had the opportunity to play that high (and does anybody else get the impression that Antonio might be playing a little high for his bankroll? Especially in the 500k buyin episode, he seemed like he might have a little more to lose than some of the people there.) I would be thanking the poker gods at every step of the way. And who are any of us to criticize about loving the game too much? Hell, we're on a poker message board.

And Phil Laak is just fun. He's a talented player, he's just as enthusiastic as Antonio about the game, and he scored Jennifer Tilly. And I've read articles about him playing to "save up" to get on HSP. I can respect that.
