I think college is highly overrated. That being said, if you are nearing completion then u might as well finish the damn thing since it could help you get a job later on.
Honestly what the hell is the point of college though?
You sit and watch some guy talk about france or some equation and then you spend a bunch of time writing some godawful paper the night before it is due?
Am I right?

Have you contemplated the possibility that there is a lot more one can get out of college than what you listed? It's very easy for people to make college a waste of their time, but that doesn't mean it has to be that way...

[/ QUOTE ]

bingo. you get out of it what you put into it.

$300 an hour? If poker doesn't work out, you can always go back and finish your degree.

[/ QUOTE ]

veganmav is a very good poster. i would be very suprised if he made less than $150/h. not sure how many tables he plays though. $300/h is resonable.
and finish your degree if you dont have that many years left anyway.

i'd say quit. im in exam hell right now (my final year), and am gonna score real low.
i'm turning pro next year, making a lot less than $300 p/h. i do intend to go back to uni the following year, but on a course i actually want to do.

i bet you aren't bored of the lifestyle of college, just the studying which you must think is almost pointless since no first year job will make you as much money as poker. i know thats how i feel (although again, not making anywhere near $300p/h)

6 years in college has been a long time for you, my only jsutification for staying is that there's only 2 terms left. however try not to do things you dont enjoy, especially if you are in a priviledged situation where you have options.
take a year off and ride this internet poker boom for all its worth, because it wont last for ever. im sure eventually bots will kill the game, and if they dont, people will just get bored and move on to some other new fad.
