I asked how much he had left. And was lied too.
I'm a limit player and because I hate waiting for a game I sat in a 1-2 NL game until a seat opened up.
game is loose and juicy, and because this I'm here to gambooool I straddle. couple people call the stradle, flop was seen 4 or 5 way. I end up having KT. Flop is Txx, two spades. I bet out $15ish into a $20ish pot. One guy is late postion raises me to $40ish. I think I'm behind but could be ahead here given he may think I'm FOS since its a straddle. I ask how deep he is to decide if I should the turn. Dealer counts him up says $60. I honestly dont remember if the player agreed/repeated, but he didnt deny Turn was a low spade, and i'm obviously not going to call. I Hollywood a minute and check to him, and which poin tthe floor walks over and places a rack of white in play. The player had sent for a chip runner before the hand, and the floor had anncounced $100 plays. He now goes all in. I wasnt calling even if he only had $60 left but knowing he had an extra $100 would have meant I wouldnt have even called the PF raise. say I had a hand where I would have called a $60 all in but not a $160 allin, whats the ruling here if I throw a fit to the floor? |

If the dealer says $60 and he didn't correct him only the $60 plays.

Re: I asked how much he had left. And was lied too.
This happened to me a couple days ago as well.
Huge gigantous multi-way pot. In this game the max bet is $200. Guy on my left says "all-in" and gets called by a bunch of shorter stacks. I've got a really weak draw, might be drawing dead even, but I'm getting absurd odds. I cover the big stack easily. I ask the dealer if he's all in. "Yes." "Its not a $200 bet, its all in?" "Yes. He's all in." "Ok, I call." Dealer puts out the turn and waits. Points at me and says "your action." "There's no more action." "He's got more chips, there's still action" At that moment I could have stabbed the dealer. He looked at me like I was being ridiculous. ITS YOUR JOB TO COUNT THE BETS. I ASKED TWICE. Sorry, had to get that off my chest |

Sorry, meant the guy above me in the thread, where he asked the dealer twice.
In the OP, I think he could also make a case, depending on when the floor had announced it. Of course, the only time to make a case for it is when you have a strong hand. |
