Re: **Official 2007 Washington Redskins thread***
The only good thing for the Skins is that every other legi potential wildcard team in the NFC (besides eagles ldo) lost. Vikings, Giants, Saints, Panthers, Lions all lose.

Re: **Official 2007 Washington Redskins thread***
From the Redskins Insider Blog by Jason La Canfora on washingtonpost.com:
Also, before we get started, James Thrash is on crutches and a cast on his left ankle. Does not look good. And Sean Taylor was barely moving around with his right leg pretty much immobiler and stiff as a board. It's a knee sprain and we'll get more info later in the day, but Sean told some teammates it doesn't look as good as hoped and seems like he will miss at least a few weeks. But again, we'll get the official word later. |

Re: **Official 2007 Washington Redskins thread***
Yeah the loss of Sean Taylor is going to hurt. I'm not entirely sure Philly would have won if Taylor had been in for the Westbrook screen pass. Dallas is going to have an easy time with our secondary next week.

I think we win today's game had Sean Taylor been in there.

Re: **Official 2007 Washington Redskins thread***
Memo: Sean Taylor is not good in coverage.
Edit: According to the FO game charting project in 2006, Sean Taylor was targeted 46 times, which ranked 12th among safties (ie opposing teams like throwing at him). He had a success rate of 49%, which ranked 51st. He gave up 10.8 yards per target, which ranked 68th. In other words, he's one of the worst starting safeties in the NFL in pass coverage. Although his numbers were better than Archuleta's, which were just laughably bad. |
