Default Most Hated Man in Poker

John Gale quote from PokerNews.com

[ QUOTE ]
There is one player - Davood Mehrmand - who is probably the most hated person in poker, who is continually abusing players and dealers alike and forever commenting on play and possible scenarios during a hand and for some reason is never penalised because he refrains from using the F-bomb!

[/ QUOTE ]

I've never heard of this guy. Most hated?

I think Mehrmand was at the final table of the 2005 WSOP Pot-Limit Omaha event that Phil Ivey won. I think is was the $5,000 event. I think he finished third because he never played a pot. He did not seem to get out of line during the ESPN telecast.

Gale seem to be a mellow guy from what I saw of him when he won the 2004 Aruba WPT event, his runner-up finish in the NL Hold 'Em event won by Brian Wilson and his interview on The Circuit at Cardplayer. So, if someone irritates him, then I think there may be some fire there, although I never seen Mehrmand play live.

Davood can get out of line at times, but he's no worse than any of a few hundred other poker players in that regard. Most of the time, he's a very nice and polite guy, very friendly. There are lots of guys I would rank above him in this category. Try Sheiky, for an easy example.

I love Tony G! Makes me laugh my ass off. I'd definetely beat him up though if he was at my table but for TV he's great.

Jean-Robert seems like an all right guy, he doesn't seem like a dealer abuser, and any player 'abuse' seems to be facetious.
....compare it to Matusow or Hellmuth player abuse.

I've heard Davood is consistently and often doing things designed to piss off and annoy the rest of the table. One time, he and Harry Demetriou almost came to blows at a Bellagio prelim.

I think Greg might be underestimating how much a jerk Davood actually is, because a lot of people seem to feel similarly to John Gale.
