Hmm. Calling the push is close. He needs to do it with some hands you are ahead of. Can definitely have a Ten here and because short may not wait until turn, but probably does not. So, this is most likely some kind of underpair to me or even a flush draw. Hard to say what your equity is... 25-40% range? Meh, I spite call and hope he can have a flush draw or AQ, KJ hand.

I often do this against short stacks and you don't normally see that many strong hands here, I think with what ever hand they have they are probably getting it on on the flop. If i'm committing I might put ~6$ in on the flop and give them no idea of fold equity.

3 bet bigger pf so he only has a PSB left on the flop, which i shove no matter what flop comes

You know he's short so don't put yourself in this position. Make your pre-flop 3bet bigger than normal and then shove any flop.
