I'm a long time reader, first time hand history poster, comments on all streets appreciated. In the first hand, the guy is a regular, fairly taggish, approx 18/9/1.6 over ~500 hands, he views me as tight/solid

UTG: $120.70
UTG+1: $115.60
MP: $52.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7 Players)
4 folds, BTN raises to $3.50, SB folds, Hero calls $2.50

Flop: ($7.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $7.00, BTN calls $7.00

Good or Bad?

Hand1: I would fold 97s preflop because the suited connectors sucks in
short-handed raised pots. Also you are OOP whole hand.

As played: I would check the flop. If villain cbets, I would check-raise him
to get pot down now. If he dont fold, I will check/fold the hand down.
Also I think the check-folding on the flope is fine but beting flop - I dont like it.

Hand2: I would raise more in preflop - 6$ or so. Villain flop betting OOP looks so
strange. I would reraise the flop to 12-14. Probably I would shove the turn.

Correct me, if I am giving bad advices.

Hand 1: Depending on the fact if the button is frequent raising marginal hands from the button I might threebet this to 12 and go from there (bet flop, bet/fold turn). As played I don't mind your bet on the flop and on the turn, although I would bet smaller amounts, if you have the best hand he will also fold for smaller amounts; I mean this can't really be considered as valuebets because we don't have clue about villains hand. I would probably just call villains minraise on the turn though and see if I can get a nine, T or 8 on the river and evaluate there... I don't think villain will fold hands that you beat after his raise if you are behind, which you probably are. Check-raising the flop could also be an idea, but then you probably have to check/fold on the turn if called which looks really weak to me; I think your hand is a little to weak for a check-raise...

Hand 2: looks like a set to me or AA... I think villain is betting the turn small because he is somewhat scared about your flushopportunity.. It would be a really weird line to take with a nine... River is giving you huge odds but it looks like a valuebet, just [censored] up... Don't know...

Hand 1:

Flop lead is bad because you don't give him a chance to c-bet worse hands.

As played, WTF are you doing on the turn?

Hand 2 looks ok.

I don't like the re-raise in hand 1. Villain raised on the button so he could easily have you beat with two pair or even a straight. The only thing you can beat is a flush draw.

I think you played hand 2 fine without having any reads, although judging by your "felt like you couldn't get away from it" comment, you ended up losing to a flush.

i like both hands, they are played fine.

you're repping 2p or a set in hand 1, and if he's a tag, he's going to be laying this down quite often for this to be profitable. regardless, you have a bunch of outs anyways.

On hand one, I felt like he was a loose raiser with position, i probably shoulda popped him back preflop if i wasn't going to fold... but I didnt... I just felt that leading was better than c/c, and playing in the dark, because he may give me a benefit of the doubt, the min raise on the turn perplexed me, I can't imagine any hands that can min raise there on that board... so i 3 bet... I think this is a big flaw in my game - overaggression, which is why i post this, i felt as though i could make a huge hand range fold w/the 3bet there...

hand 2, he showed down sixes full

Hand 1 is so ambiguous to me... And this is a convoluted sentiment - I don't think I know where to draw the line between what I'm representing based on what I think he has. On the flop his call does help me define his range, I would've expected him to raise any PP's, and PP's turned sets, and any straight draws for fold equity as well... I was confused on turn, and in retrospect, i think if i lead that turn representing 2p, overpair, set or straight, I have to either 3 bet or fold to the min raise...How can i tell better when i should throw in the towel as far as bluffs go in a situation like this?
