check-folded the river? Whatever.

There's no argument against hups that I know of. Hups make the game more pleasure than pain and make it possible to play more than one table, getting double or more action.

I can learn more about a player by watching her play one hand than I could by checking her stats after 500 hands.

You may want to consider Caro's Law of Loose Wiring.

Hyperbole. What I meant to say was that, if given the choice of being given a 500 hand stat read or lets say 150 hands of observational reads, I would take the observational reads. Since I'm getting the superior observational reads anyway just by virtue of sitting at the table, what use is the stat read?

When you see a player check-3bet the turn with a flopped mid pair, well there no stat that can give u that kind of info. In fact, with a small sample (which many people realy on), the stats could indicate that this player shouldn't be capable of this kind of play. That's why I prefer to go au natural.

I do need to pick up that Caro book though. Been playing live for a while yet for some reason forgot to read that book!
