Default Q3 is the nuts

Hello BBV,

Was looking through my PT, and I was surprised to see that Q3s is one of my biggest winners by bb/hand. After studying the hhs, I have found that Q3 decidedly more backdoor flush, straight, and three pair outs than any other hand. Enjoy my donkey play!

Here I lose value, trying to slowplay the nuts.

Hero (BB): $102
BTN: $125.65
SB: $100.50

Pre-Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
BTN folds, <font color="red">SB raises to $3.50</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $13</font>, SB calls $9.50

Flop: ($26) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($26) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $16</font>, SB calls $16

River: ($58) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $33</font>, SB calls $33

Results: $124 Pot ($1 Rake)
Hero showed 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a straight, Ace to Five) and WON $123 (+$61 NET)
SB mucked A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and LOST (-$62 NET)

Here, villain finds out not to float against my UTG raising range.

In this hand villain gets a lesson on not playing dominated hands like 73s

Probably because I don't play Q3 enough. These 3 hands were the only big pots I played with the hand in the past 6 months

Playing class 5 starting hands is a difficult, but critical skill in poker. I assume you are one of joyofpoker's students?
