Default AK flops tptk gets c/r twice

should the turn be a check behind as a standard line against this villain?

villain is 27/22/4.4 over small sample. hes been aggro so far.

I think the turn is usually a check behind against an aggro villain in this spot, precisely for the situation that you faced. I would rather check behind, keep the pot smallish, and induce a river bluff. I think a bet most of the time will result in worse hands folding, and better hands raising.

I think your fold has to be right. Against someone I don't know much about, I think turn check behind is fine and check/call any river.

I guess I'd be raising on the river if it came A or K if I'd checked the turn, but that's probably wrong in this specific hand given that he's willing to CR turn (not that we'd know that)

Definitely check behind turn, so dry.

As played, good fold imo

Question for you: Does an aggro villain play a hand like A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] differently here (like leading turn) than say A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (because he wants to **value** jam)?

i think if you're betting the turn it shouldn't be to fold to a push, his weird line probably doesn't just equate to 22/77

how can it not? unless he has air theres no way hes playing a worse ace this way IMO. i opened utg called a flop c/r and lead the turn after the flop action. he has to have better then AK to take this line id think

You have to check the turn, this is the benfit of positon. You will induce a bluff from a weak hand so many times.
