the general consensus is more, especially in high ante games. Although most people here probably keep more than 300 for hold'em as well.

I have some thoughts on bankroll in the FAQ. You might want to keep in mind that I have gotten broke several times.

Yes, I really have gotten broke several times. I'm terrible with money outside of the card-room, and being out of action bothers me less and less.

It depends on the structure. I play in very loose, high-ante/BI games, so there's a lot more variance, and I recommend anyone sitting there doesn't sit without at least 400BB, as well as the ability to leave/drop down if things go bad. In those type of games, I go through a 200-300BB downswing at least once a month(granted I play 8-10hrs a day and multitable).

For "normal" sites....I'd say 300BB is sufficient, but also remember if it gets too low to drop down a level.

I like to keep my bankroll @500x Big bet for my current limit.
I've gone on 300 bb downswings before and it hurts, I dont want to take money away from my work income/savings to reload my BR.

Initial deposit $55, currently bankrolled for 2/4.
