Default Calling Stattions\'s table unbeatable

Recently I played on PokerRoom in stud high 0.50/1, I lost a lot of money cause at the table EVERY PLAYERS call until the 5th at the minimum, I could'nt play, people raise and reraise, impossible to make them fold, and they always hit their card on 7th, it's was pretty sick, but it doesn't really matter it's just online and I prefer Live, but I wondered, are they players like that in Casinos ? because I would like to go playing in Atlantic City at the end of my studies but I don't want to seat with 4 or 5 calling stations, did you already go to a Casino playing Stud and in comparison with Internet, is it better ? thank's.

There are some nice games on Stars right now with plenty of people that will respect your raises.

You can beat bad players. You can't beat bad luck.

On a side note, people who are experienced in stud or in playing a very loose player or in playing a loose high-ante game tends to spew at the lower levels. I.e. Party 0.5/1 was generally recommended as "to avoid" despite the very loose players.

ok I understand, but I don't have enough money to play higher, my "dream" is to play in 2/4 level but I can't, I think I'm going to finish the book I read on stud, "Winning 7 Card Stud" by Ashley Adams that I find great, play in 0.25/0.50 to work on this variant, and later I'll take a shot in 2/4 ou 1/2, thank's for the informations !

Hmmm...yeah...I unnerstand...Stay away from the calling stations. It's a well know fact that there's no money to be made from them. Some tips:
1- Play at higher stakes. The higher the stakes, the fewer calling stations. Another astute poster already noted how you should avoid the .5/1 tables. Start at 5/10. Careful, there will still be some, but fewer, calling stations.
2- Using something like PokerTracker, identify those players who are selective with their starters and only play at their tables. Some names that come to mind to get you started: Jeffage, *TT* and other frequent posters. Note, they play at even higher (easier) stakes
3- If you want to make money at poker, stay away from calling stations!
4- In order to ensure your own long term winnings, emulate the calling station's style and play against tight players.
5- Ignore the poker literature and critical analysis of your own play.

8-)

If you sit at a table and you can't shortly identify the fish, and what mistakes they're making that you can profit from, then there's quite a strong chance that it's you.
