Default Mystery liquid- WTF is it?

Alright so I was reaching for something, and I got a little bit of this [censored] on my fingers. At first I didn't really think about it, but then after a few seconds it started to burn really horribly bad. I thought it was battery acid but it seems to be coming from inside the actual player somewhere. WTF is this [censored]?

Red circle is the liquid in question.
Blue circle is the place where this is dripping out of.

I checked all the batteries and they seem to be in perfect condition.
