Default Stars \"rakeback\" % with new vip

Here is my calculations going into the new year a supernova.
Im basing this on 100k vpp being 20,000$ rake based on tournament entry fees. Also this is based using the 1500$ vpp bonus for 100,000 fpps, after the 1st level u lose 50k fpps to buying the new bonuses offered. I hope this helps people out, if u have any questions please post and ill clarify

100k= $5250=26.25%
200k= 4500+2000=$6500=32.5%
300k= 4500+3000=$7500=37.5%
400k= 4500+4000=$8500=42.5%
500k= 4500+5000=$9500=47.5%

this may be confusing to some, but to those who it makes sense to are those it probably applies to

Care to calculate it for 1 million? To help you out, heres what I've figured out so far:

If I earn 1 million VPPs in 2007 I will get:

-$75,000 in FPP value(when factoring in the bonuses plus the normal 180K/$3000 rate)

-$28,500 in live tourney entries(assuming I take the Monte Carlo)

-$2600 in online tourney entries

-I don't take the freerolls that seriously as they cut into my playing time, but I'd say that its a fair estimate to think that I could make $5000 from them on the year(anyone who wants to chime in with another estimate is welcome)

-the higher earn rate on FPPs next year would be worth an extra 1.5 million if I achieve SNE again, but thats not certain at all...lets compromise at an extra 720K FPPs(I picked a round number to make the math easier), which comes out to $12,000 more.

So thats a total of $123,100 earned.

I think you made the same mistake that I initially did regarding the bonuses at each level. You get EVERY ONE of them each level you attain, not just one. So if you reach 300K VPPs you get $5000($2000 for passing 200K + the $3000 for passing 300K).

I came up with $5833.33. How did you get your figure?

Under concierge service you get $3000 for every 180K fpps.

If you make 100K VPPs and are a SN, you'll get 350K fpps. That means you'll get 1.944444444 of those $3000 concierge services, which is how I got $5833.33.

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw where you said "Also this is based using the 1500$ vpp bonus for 100,000 fpps."

Yes, you only get each once- that is correct. But you do get each one. The way you have it in the OP is that you only get one of them.

nah, just add each up to get your total
the way i did it was the rakeback u would be getting on each step, so from 100k-200k u would be getting 32.5%, from 200k-300k 37.5%, etc etc

So 500k vpp costs you $100k in rake, per your calc. Where is the $47.5k in bonuses? Per your calc, it seems like $37K.

Based on my estimates in another thread...you get $100k for $70k paid in rake (if you play NL$100, 9 top). $100k = $35 in prizes, $23k in teired bonuses, $42k in left over fpp (valued at .01 to .017).

Default I got somewhat different numbers (repost from the other SNE thread)

So. Looks like you're better off playing on Full Tilt or UB unless you play A LOT.

Supernova Elite: 55% Rakeback, of which a third comes in the form of mega-variance big-tournament entries. BUT

IF you reach SN Elite in 2007,
AND they keep the basic VIP rules unchanged,
AND they renew the milestone bonuses,
AND you manage to earn 1,000,000 VPPs from January 1 2008 to June 30 2008,
AND Stars is still around & taking US customers in 2008,

THEN your 2008 rakeback level will reach 70% over the first $200,000 in rake you pay them that year. Although over one fifth of that 70% will still come in the form of mega-variance tournament entries.

----------------------

800k VPP: 41% RB

550k VPP: 40% RB

450k VPP: 38% RB

350k VPP: 35% RB

250k VPP: 32% RB

------------

100k VPP on Dec. 31st 2007: 22% RB

My assumptions:

-- I took all the milestone bonus offers & accounted for their FPP cost. I assumed that players will be eligible for a total max of 5 milestone bonuses, 1 @ each milestone.

-- I ignored perks that roll over into 2008 (e.g. the higher FPP accrual rate)

-- I valued the land-based Tpackages generously at 30k total (18k for Monte Carlo, 12k for WSOP ME)

-- An average player who plays all 52 weekly 50ks and all 12 monthly 100ks will have an EV of about $750 given how large the fields are likely to get. Balancing the Supernova's edge over the average player against his opportunity cost and the near certainty of missing some tournaments, I estimated the freerolls' total annual value at $1000, give or take a couple hundred. Estimates of over $3000 strike me as WILDLY optimistic.

-- I remembered to include the WCOOP ME entry among the SN Elite perks, valued at $2600

-- I valued FPPs at 1.7cents/FPP and generally tried to err on the side of generosity in my estimates.
