$6 NLTRN: Calling an AI PF with AQo
My reads: likes to limp, generally minraises. Has donkbet a couple times postflop. In one hand, I raised PF with JJ, and my opponent responded by pushing AJo. This led me to believe that my opponent isn't ultra-tight with these pushes. Nevertheless, is my call too loose?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (2 handed) BB (t1635) Hero (t1365) Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero raises to t125, BB raises to t1635, Hero calls t1240 (All-In). |

In one hand, I raised PF with JJ, and my opponent responded by pushing AJo. [/ QUOTE ] I assume you were short and doubled up that hand? If this is the case, did this happen recently? I'd call this, especially if you were recently short and doubled through him. People tend to tilt when they get close to knocking you out and then you double up. He might not be pushing total junk but his range is probably a lot wider. All advices are IMHO. |

Yes, I was short and doubled up. But, that was about 5 hands ago, so I don't think he's tilting.

Yea I call this too. I'm not jumping up and down or anything, but I quickly and confidently call.

I'm glad calling here is good. Although I'm assuming calling with AJo here would be bad (without a read that opp is a maniac or tilting).
