yeah i check/call down because of that basically. i'm not comfortable folding to a raise if i bet but i'm not looking to get 200 BBs in either. i feel much better about calling down and either getting less in (which is fine because worse hands aren't worth 200BB anyway) or giving him room to 'bluff me off my TT' etc

i would never fold though after checking

Stacksizes are really awkward for this, and this is really bad for metagame, no?

elaborate.

i think taking this line is like saying, i have something w/ showdown value on the flop, i still have something w/ showdown value on the turn, and now fold all your bluffs and some of your medium strength hands on the river. i mean obviously it depends on how the board comes out and if he actually bets two streets...but i don't see how i could ever like this line more than some others suggested.

stack sizes are not totally optimal but assuming we openshove river, villain is gonna get something like 1:3,5 and our hand will be SEVERELY underreped by the time we get there. the line basically says: "allright, i have KK and im either way ahead or way behind. ill give him 2 tries to bluff me and [censored] good odds to make a crying call on the river"

checking flop is not bad. now that you've checked i would call. if you c/red to 350 though u could fold to a push

[/ QUOTE ]

This strikes me as a terrible idea especially as we took a really strange line.

I doubt you would fail to go broke here if you were 1000BBs deep
