Best software or techniques converting Powerpoint to DVD

Hi, so far I've tried two shareware software solutions to do this (found from google), PPT2DVD and PowerVideoMaker and neither have successfully been able to do this for me.

Essentially I'm trying to find a way to convert my .ppt that contains music that is syncronized to slides (ie it has timings and on certain slides finish a current song and start a new one, etc). It only has basic fade in/out animations.

The first software i tried gave some unspecified error and said contact support (lol). The second free software I tried took almost 2 hours to do the conversion, made an mpg that was 3.4gb big, and has none of my music and the timings are jacked up.

What's the best way to accomplish what I want?
