Thoughts on Period 1 of game 2 between NYR and Buf:
Rangers looked great, Buffalo looked sluggish. The Rangers outshot them by a ton, forced turnovers and made their defense look foolish. The only reason this game isn't 3 or 4-1 is Miller who has had to stand on his head to keep this game tied. Ryan Callahan looks great as well.

That call on Afinogenov was BS IMO. The Ranger was slashing him down the whole rink and pushes Afinogenov out of the way with one hand.
Rangers had the better scoring chances.... on Buffalo's power play! My favorite quote from the Devils' announcers the other night: "Looking at the score sheet, the Devils are due for a power play!"

Sad effort by Buffalo through two. Very similar to their Game 2 vs. the Isles. Rangers being very smart not giving them a reason to get inspired.

Thoughts on the 2nd Period:
Rangers still looking great. Buffalo has only had 9 shots all game. Miller had another good period but Mara finally got one past. I fully expect to see Buffalo to come out firing.

missed much of that game but yeah the rangers simply cannot lose that one, not when buffalo mails it in like that. looks like it might be sweeptown for NY - time to prepare that standing O
