mod note:

since you have no idea how i balanced the roles on each side, you have no idea whether i would put the detective on which side to help balance or whether i just totally randed it. but obviously a wolf detective sucks for the wolves because if he finds the sk, he leaves the game. of course it sucks for the village too for the same reason but not as much. also remember both sides want to keep the detective alive because the sk doesn't win with either side unlike in malloreon.

i think this game is probably pretty balanced but i do agree if it's not balanced it's probably leaning evil. and the serial killer is also a seer so they have an incentive and ability to help the losing team.
