according to pokernews.com

More Players Advance to Round 3

Nath Pizzolatto aka Nath, Taylor Caby, Barry Greenstein, Gavin Griffin aka 2005, Aaron Been, Carl Olson, Eric Lynch aka Rizen and Vanessa Selbst (I think thats fslexduck not sure though) advanced to round 3. Seems a decent amount of 2p2ers.

And Norm MacDonald.

Hope to get some of their thoughts on the structure and set up among other things regarding this event. glglglggl

I think they should play down to 6 players, and 2 of them should get a bye. This is by far the fairest format.

No, because then you give a bye at the time when it's most valuable, which is far more unfair. Giving byes in the first round only is the way to go.

No Bye
Yes, earlier we wrote that Justin Bonomo has received a first-round bye, and we reported that because they announced it twice to the entire room. But "ZeeJustin" did play a first-round match, against Annie Duke, and he was eliminated.

392-196-98-49- (1 person gets a bye)48-24-12-6(2 ppl get a bye) -4-2-1

This is better b/c only 3 ppl get byes apposed to 130, or whatever it was.

Horrible idea.
How would you like to be one of the 4 players who doesn't get a bye in the final six, while two players miss a match, and essentially, move up in prize $ without doing anything.

# of people getting byes doesn't matter a great deal in the early rounds. 130 people recieving byes in the first round is a hell of a lot better, and fairest way, than your plan of having two people get a buy in the final six. A player who gets a bye here only has to win 2 more matches to win the tournament, while those who don't must win 3 to win. If you get a bye in the first round, you still have to win 8 matches in order to win, but if you don't get a buy, you have to play 9.

Carl Olson, Aaron Been, and myself all made round 4 / day 2 / the money. We are with our posse eating and drinking. Holla

No idea who our matchups are. Structure is decent; I'll be happier with tomorrow's longer levels.

I hear others have made day 2 but they aren't out drinking with us so who cares about them.

Do you always bring your laptop to the bar to drink and celebrate the completion of day 1?
