I finished with answers from 22 people. In hindsight a few of the questions were too easy, but none of them received unanimous answers. Here's the first half of the reveal.

Tell me if your score is wrong - it was generated using COUNTIF and could be wrong if there's a spelling mistake I missed. There were a couple of answers left blank - I scored these one point since you could have just put "sgsfdghdfhfghdg" and got a point.

1. A former Soviet republic (not including Russia)

I wondered how many people would go the Borat route here. As it turns out, not enough. Weirdly, two people managed to independently choose the same country even though it was never a Soviet republic. Almost everyone else simply went for the large, well-known one.

2. A metal band excluding Metallica

I was expecting Slayer or Megadeth to dominate here, but some people have loose definitions of metal bands. GNR are hard rock, dammit! Only about half the bands on this list qualify as metal imo. Oh well, the people have spoken...

Hunt for Red October is clearly the right answer but I overthought it and figured people wouldn't associate it with Tom Clancy.

This is so sick. I can understand that Germany wasn't a good an answer as France. But that difference? Huge. Very surprising. But hey, caesar salad and Rammstein kinda shocked me too.

9. A British television series

This one was influenced a bit by how many Aussies were competing - I doubt any Americans even know what The Bill is. The classic of classics, Fawlty Towers, was right up there, but in the end the fundamentals of Sheep won out; keep it well known and keep it recent.

There was a tie for the top spot here. I thought half of the winners came up with a very reasonable word:

13. A famous Australian, excluding Steve Irwin

Answers were actually pretty divided here. This is probably because Australia is awesome and there are tons of famous people from here.

Top honours were split. Depends if you think people get famous by marrying more famous people...

...or by punching people.

The people who put Olivia Newton John... SERIOUSLY? That's what comes to mind when you think about my country?

Nice that the top two for 13 weren't born in Australia.

5th isn't too bad I guess. Damn you Ned Kelly.
